About Me

Horses have been in my life ever since I can remember, and I have been a rider for 20 years and a trainer for more than a decade. With a degree in equine management from Reaseheath College and a background in classical dressage I have been fortunate enough to study with a number of world-renowned masters, including the Valenca family in Portugal, and Christian Bachinger of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. My early career was spent at Pen Llyn Lusitano Stud starting young stallions, many of whom went on to compete at PSG level.  More recently, I spent four years in Texas, where I developed a new training method to make dressage accessible to riders of all levels, as well as training horses and instructors in the use of dressage for equine therapy. I returned to the UK in 2017, but my passion remains in helping riders discover the harmony that can be achieved with their horse when dressage is taught in a stress free and sympathetic way. As well as ridden dressage lessons, I can also offer lessons in groundwork, in hand work, long-lining, and liberty work.
